Johnny was a Punk
Johnny Ramone is dead. I can't believe it. Why do great rockers have to go while people like Michael Bolton and Barbara Streisand live to be 150 years-old?
Mr. Ramone once described his guitar style as "pure, white rock 'n' roll, with no blues influence." "I wanted our sound to be as original as possible,'' he said. "I stopped listening to everything."
I got some good beer gardening in last night. Today is the final day and normally I'd be there to close the place up in style but alas I have to head out for my alpine guide gig. I'll be trekking up Tateyama (Mt. Tate), one of the three most sacred mountains of Japan along with Mt. Fuji and Mt. Hakusan.
